OMG girl i bought the cutest belted t-shirt type dress and some tights at charlotte russe today, and i have you to thank. i usually play it really safe with fashiony stuff because i feel like i don't know what flatters my body and what doesn't, but i tried the dress on, and i immediately thought "this is way too short"- and then the girl who got me a fitting room asked if i needed anything, and i showed her, asking- "what do you think?" and she said "what about some tights?"- i was momentarily doubtful- i've always thought i couldn't pull that look off, but it totally worked! and i got it all on sale- with a cute pair of sandals i got the entire shebang for less than $40!!! i floated outta there, i tell ya.
but anyway, i look like ass and my hair got ruined by the rain, so i didn't take a pic, but i will later. for the time being- this post:

reminds me a whole lot of this dress/tights combo that i bought. the dress is a light olive green and it came with a wide plasticy brown belt with a big buckle, and it hits me mid thigh, and the tights are brown. it's so frakking cute on my i can't even handle it.
sorry for writing a novel, but i just couldn't help but think that somehow, looking at your awesome pics has given me the courage i needed to stop hiding behind the safest options in clothes. goddamn it i WILL buy cute clothes!

I love that there are so many plus size fashion blogs out there these days. Lots of inspiration regardless of what your style is. I feel like I’m still finding my fashion voice - and it’s nice to know that people like what I’m doing!
